PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP (PPG)
The PPG is a group of patients who act as a support and advisory group to the Practice.
The group discuss issues from a patient perspective and can make suggestions for changes or improvements.
(The group do not deal with individual cases or complaints)
The topics looked at so far by the group include:-
- New practice leaflet
- New practice website
- Initiation of booking appointments on-line and ordering of repeat prescriptions
- Ways of reducing waste medicines
- Improving information about self-help and other local groups and forums
- Patient questionnaire (see key themes)
There are currently 9 patients in the group. Meetings are held monthly here at the surgery and are attended by the practice manager, doctors, nurses and other staff.
There are vacancies on the group from time to time. Please ask to speak to the Practice Manager (Mrs Louise Davis) if you are interested in joining the group.
