Please try to arrive on time and remember to inform the receptionist that you have an appointment. If you are unable to attend please let us know as soon as possible as we may be able to offer it to someone else.

Urgent appointments will be offered for the same day usually at the end of morning or evening surgery.

Telephone Consultations

Telephone consultations are ideal for discussing matters with the doctor which do not need a physical examination. A telephone consultation must be booked in advance via the receptionist who will take a contact telephone number from you.

You will be contacted only once on the telephone number you give. If you are not available the doctor will not telephone again or leave a message on an answerphone. It is your responsibility to re-arrange a further consultation

Home Visits

Home Visits Please come to the surgery whenever possible as the doctor can see several patients in the time needed for a home visit. However, if you are genuinely too ill or frail to attend the surgery the doctor may, at their discretion, be happy to visit you at home.

Please telephone before 10.00am wherever possible to request a home visit.

If you have an URGENT medical problem and cannot get to the surgery please ensure that you tell the receptionist the matter is urgent so that the doctor can be informed without delay.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
